A 59-year-old man died after suffering severe injury in an overnight Russian drone attack in eastern Ukraine’s Dnipropetrovsk region, regional military governor Serhii Lysak reported on Telegram on Thursday.

Four others were injured, he said.

The Ukrainian Air Force reported attacks by 104 armed and decoy drones, with 88 of them shot down or rendered harmless by electronic means.

The Russian Defence Ministry reported downing 85 Ukrainian drones over 11 Russian regions and the Crimean Peninsula.

Aviation authority Rosaviatsiya said that movements at the Kaluga, Volgograd, Saratov, Ivanovo and Orenburg airports had been halted temporarily for reason of safety.

Ukrainian drone attacks regularly disrupt air travel in Russia.

Ukraine has been warding off the Russian invasion since February 2022, defending against attacks on its own territory in the east and also striking targets within Russia.
