Shocking Reasons we need to remember why NAFDAC shutdown Chocolat Royale

‎Chocolat Royal on Etim Inyang Crescent in VI, Lagos is a well known and loved bakery, ice cream shop and cafe,until the law caught up with it over the exploitation of Nigerians it had made its habit.
The National Agency for Food and Drugs Administration (NAFDAC) shut down outlets of popular eatery, Chocolat Royale over the use of expired products among other violations.‎

This are 5 shocking and unbelievable things you should remember about the shutdown:
1. The company was reportedly using products which had expired as far back as 2004 to prepare meals.
2.  Most of the products did not have descriptions in English and were therefore not registered by NAFDAC.

3.  The products were stored in 40ft cold rooms which were built on sewage tanks and in front of toilets.
4.  Some of the expired products had maggots in them.
5. Amin Moussalli, who owns the outfit, along with various media outlets, reportedly travels abroad to source for and purchase close-to-expiry products..

The foreign cooks who were arrested by NAFDAC officials confessed to the crimes.
On interrogation, the jittery cooks who identified themselves as John Gbokasa and David from Benin Republic confirmed to NAFDAC officials that the House belongs to Mr Moussali and that the fake, unregistered and expired food products found inside the two cold rooms were for Chocolat Royal.‎
“I know that the products have expired, some, 2004, 2006, 2009, but I am a cook and I take instruction from my boss,” David said.
It should be remembered that since NAFDAC shut down the eatery in May‎ this year after the revelations, the Managing director ,Amin Moussalli,has not been seen.
