Rivers better without Amaechi,says Wike

On a day Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike led members of the independent media on a project tour, a frightened defeated All Progressives Congress ( APC ) in Rivers State had to take refuge in falsehood, just to distract attention from the superlative performance of the people’s governor.
They released a dose of their baggage of lies, alleging that Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike got and wasted N120billion in his first one hundred days.  The allegation is false in its entirety.

Also, for the umpteenth time, the failed administration of the immediate past Governor Rotimi Amaechi did not leave N10billion in the coffers of the state government
Instead, the failed administration of former Governor Rotimi Amaechi left  a culture of unbridled corruption,  squandering the state’s N3 trillion in his eight years of misrule and maladministration.  The failed administration left several abandoned projects,  two months of unpaid civil servants salaries,  six months pension arrears and several months of emoluments of sportsmen and women. The former governor left a damaged judiciary and a comatose Legislature. He left without paying WAEC and NECO fees for Rivers Students and left other students stranded abroad.
Amaechi and his co-travellers in the Rivers APC should hide their faces in shame in Abuja where they are on self imposed exile. The people of Rivers State are celebrating the revival of the state by Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike and several false propaganda will not change the reality on ground.

It was a case of ‘seeing is believing’ as journalists from the national and state media witnessed first hand the transformation,  execution of projects,  completion of abandoned projects and the celebration of Governor Wike by the ordinary people of the state.  This was different from the lies and propaganda spread by the defeated Rivers State APC with the help of stolen funds.
It is regrettable and disheartening that the defeated Rivers State APC thinks it is impossible that Governor Wike completed roads they abandoned for eight years within one hundred days. It is also shocking that the defeated Rivers State APC finds it difficult  to believe that the projects executed by Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike have come to stay.
The Rivers State APC is a political party neck – deep in failure and corruption.  They stole Rivers State blind and are suffering from acute psychological torture in the face of the superlative performance of the people’s governor.
For the avoidance of doubt,  Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has improved the security of lives and property in the state through effective funding of security agencies and enhanced legislation and strategy
Now that the Rivers State APC has been crippled by Wike-phobia in just one hundred days in office, what will happen in the next hundred with the quantum of quality projects rolled by Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike?  The Rivers State APC is as good as buried
It is only in these parts that known crooks and failures stay in Abuja with stolen funds to concoct falsehood and sponsor same in the media with nobody calling them to order. What a shame?
Nobody expects a gang of desperate politicians who closed the courts, destroyed the Legislature and stole the salaries and resources of the people to understand the speed of development taking place in Rivers State.  The Rivers APC thinks that resources are meant to be stolen and not used to advance the course of development.
However,  to the glory of God and the benefit of the people who overwhelmingly voted out the crooks on April 11,  the process of creating a new Rivers State had started.  The ugly days of propaganda has been confined to the dustbin of history.
The women who trooped out whilst Governor Wike conducted journalists round projects on September 7 sang happily: “Welcome,  talk one do two Governor”. This is the opinion that matters. The opinion of politicians crippled by the fear of continuous defeat means nothing.
The rot imposed on Rivers people by the failed former Governor Rotimi Amaechi and his propaganda loving APC is so deep. Only a high performing Governor Wike can address it. Little wonder the APC is confounded that Wike has overcome all their evil machinations.
The people of Rivers State have wholeheartedly rejected Amaechi and his APC.  No amount of blackmail,  name calling,  concocted stories,  sabotage of the security architecture or clamour for appointments at the Federal level will change the decision of the people.  The Amaechi chapter in Rivers politics has been closed. Why is it so difficult for Amaechi’s paid agents to come to terms with this simple fact?
