Qur’an root of Science, technology, says Cleric

The Chief Imam of University of Ilorin, Prof. AbdulGaniyu Oladosu, has said the Holy Qur’an is the root of Science and Technology. Oladosu stated this in Ilorin while addressing newsmen earlier today.
The Chief Imam who is also a Professor of Arabic and Education, enjoined all researchers, scientists and scholars to use their knowledge for the development of Mankind.

He added that the essence of any knowledge acquired was for the people to benefit from it.
He also urged leaders and wealthy Nigerians to have sympathy and empathy in assisting the needy and less privileged in the society.
Oladosun called on all Muslims to seek quality education no matter the cost, adding that Islam valued qualitative education that would translate to meaningful development.
He also appealed to Muslims to intensify their efforts in seeking knowledge and wisdom in order to facilitate their way to paradise.
