Ijebu Students’ Association,Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) chapter, has concluded arrangements to hold its annual lecture and awards day popularly known as Ijebu day.
The event,which is the fourth in the series, is scheduled for Thursday,February 4, with Prof. Fola Lasisi, a former Vice Chancellor of the University of Uyo and Crescent University,Abeokuta,being the guest speaker.
He will speak on the theme ‘Building Your Own Nation’, and be assisted by the first president of the association, Barr Ademola Fakoya.

Musediku,other dignitaries expected at the Ikokore/Ebiripo day are the Obasewa of Ijebu,Chief O.B. Okuboyejo,the Minority leader,Ogun State House of Assembly from the Ijebu Constituency,Hon Wale Alausa,and Hon.Sonuga Olusola from the Ikene constituency.
Musiliu Haruna-Ishola,the famous Apala musician is expected to liven up the event with Prof. Titi Kuku,a former dean,Faculty of Technology and the University Librarian, Mrs Asubiojo being the Father and Mother of the day.
Musediku enjoined all students of Ijebu descents and other well wishers to grace the occasion as they would be thrilled,with enough arrangements on ground to take care of the students.
