OSUN State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has set the records straight over who is the first lady of the state.
He declared that the winner in the scheming for the significant position is Titilola.
Titilola and Ngozi, according to reports, had continued to scheme for the position of first lady of the state.
Recall that there was confusion on Monday after two different fliers emanated from the offices of Adeleke’s wives, Ngozi and Titilola, welcoming the Nigeria’s first lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, to the state.
On both fliers, the two women were addressed as the first lady of Osun state, which sparked mixed reactions on social media.
However, Adeleke, in a statement by his spokeperson, Olawale Rasheed, has clarified that there is “no confusion on this official position.”
The governor stressed that Titilola was the state’s first lady and would be the one to host Remi on her arrival.
He also said the second flier was not authorised by Ngozi, adding that the person behind it had been “nabbed and questioned.”
“The attention of Mr Governor has been drawn to fake news in circulation about conflict over who among the Governor’s two wives is to host the First Lady of Nigeria, Her Excellency, Senator Oluremi Tinubu on her official visit to the State tomorrow,” the statement said.
“For clarifications, Chief (Mrs) Titilola Adeleke, the First Lady of Osun State, is officially hosting the First Lady of the Republic tomorrow in line with the directive of Mr Governor.
“There is no confusion on this official position. The state government under Governor Ademola Adeleke is set to receive the First Lady and her team in Osun State.”
