YBNL rapper Chinko Ekun,Virus Zamora, Obafemi Awolowo University’s (OAU) Director of Socials, Shomo Davies and an ex Chairman of the Association of Campus Journalists (ACJ),Ayodele Ibiyemi,are amongst the 100 students that shaped OAU in 2015, according to Oya Magazine,an online platform based in Ife.
The 100 students in the #OYAOAU100 according to the organiser are individuals whose dedication have driven them to make a difference in their various fields in the school and beyond the walls of the great citadel of learning called OAU.
According to the release,the Sports category was scraped out because they did not receive any nomination,when the students were asked to nominate people into the various categories.
In this list, there are 103 names from nine categories: Academics (All Departments) – 5 ; Arts (Writing, Fine Arts – 10, Photography, Graphics Design); Entertainment (Music, Dance, Comedy, Compere, Events) – 15; Entrepreneurship (10) , Fashion (Style and beauty, Fashion Designers, Models, Make-Up artistes, Fashion Entrepreneurs) – 20.
Others are; Media(Social Media, Journalism, Magazine, Publishing, OAP) – 15 ; Politics (Advocacy, Non-Governmental Organisations, Activism, Union Leaders Departmental Executives, Organisation Leaders) – 10 ; Religion (Religious leaders, Executives) – 4; and Technology – 14.
“The Technology category is a peculiar one in which we featured two major outstanding projects and their champions . The projects include: Voissapp and Project Humane”,the statement added.
