Arsenal fear Jack Wilshere will require surgery on a hairline fracture in his left leg, ruling him out for up to three months, reports The Mail.

Arsene Wenger originally declared that Wilshere would spend four weeks on the sidelines and had hoped to have him available for the visit of Stoke City on Saturday.
However, the Frenchman confirmed that the midfielder had not recovered as quickly as originally expected and now Arsenal’s medical team are considering whether or not surgery will be required.
If he escapes the knife, the 23-year-old is expected to spend another four weeks in rehabilitation, but there is now serious consideration over surgery.

“I have not seen Jack Wilshere in the last two or three days,’ Wenger told reporters. “He is progressing more slowly than expected
“I expected him to be back and available after the international break, but unfortunately he will not be available for Saturday. He had a little setback.”
INJURY PROBLEMS
Wilshere missed a substantial part of last season after undergoing surgery in late February after sustaining ankle ligament damage. It was enough to keep him out of the squad until the latter parts of the season.
He returned to start in Arsenal’s final game against West Brom, scoring a sensational half volley in an impressive display and later featured from the bench in their FA Cup triumph over Aston Villa.‎
But Wilshere’s achievements have been overshadowed by a myriad of injury problems. A further three months on the treatment table would see him fall further down the pecking order at the Emirates, therefore, struggling to make England’s Euro 2016 squad.
