‎NDLEA agents declared wanted after disappearing with seized drugs

Two agents of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA)‎, Daniel Goska, a Superintendent of Narcotics, and Ndubuisi Ughor, a Chief Narcotic Agent, have been declared wanted after absconding, last month, with seized narcotics.
They were last seen on duty at the Enugu Airport on August 7, after they nabbed one Dayson-Eddie Ifeanyichukwu and 3 others with 74.4kg of narcotics at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu.
They allegedly conspired with Ifeanyichukwu,to steal the seized drugs and return to him.
This is not the first time such conspiracy is happening.
While Obasanjo was in power, a National Committee for the Reform of the NDLEA, set up to probe the agency in 2007, indicted NDLEA prosecutors and prison officials.
Then, 11 NDLEA prosecutors, 14 lawyers, and 11 prison officials operated a cartel which specialized in releasing convicted drug traffickers.
Between 2005 and 2006, they secretly released 197 convicted trafficker that had already been sentenced to various jail terms.
The agency has taken necessary steps by stopping the salaries of Goska and Ughor.
The NDLEA honcho,Alh Ahmadu Giade has called on members of the public with useful information about their whereabouts to report to the nearest office.
